JOHNSEN - BARKMEIER

The wedding of Miss Carolyn A. Johnsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Johnsen of near Cordova, Nebraska, and Wayne W. Barkmeier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Barkmeier of Exeter, Nebraska, was solemnized in a 10:00 a.m. ceremony at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (Newman Center) near the University of Nebraska campus in Lincoln on Saturday, June 27, 1964. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Father Thomas M. Pucelik.

The maid of honor was Mrs. Judy Stutzman of near Milford, Nebraska, formerly of Beaver Crossing, Nebraska. The best man was Mr. Thomas Tieso of Lincoln, formerly of Exeter.

Following the ceremony, the married couple departed for a honeymoon trip to Minnesota. They stayed at Barky's Resort on Otter Tail Lake near Battle Lake, Minnesota. Following their stay, they returned to make their home in Lincoln, where Mr. Barkmeier attends the University of Nebraska and Mrs. Barkmeier is employed at First National Bank in downtown Lincoln.
