John "Jack" Joseph Campbell


John “Jack” Joseph Campbell, son of John Francis and Mary Catharine (Barkmeier) Campbell, was born on January 5, 1932. He died at the age of 82 years in Omaha, Nebraska on May 17, 2014. Jack was a retired employee of the City of Omaha Permits and Inspection Department.

He was preceded in death by parents John F. and Mary Catharine; brothers-in-law, Dan Parr, Jack Parr, Dick Andrews and Jim Monaghan. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverly; children, John, Matt, Jane (Jim) Royal and Patty (Rob) Pechar; nine grandchildren; sisters Georgann Parr and Mary Parr, sisters-in-law, Marian Monaghan and Shirley Andrews; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at St. Gerald Catholic Church (96th and Q Street) on Tuesday, May 20th after 5:00pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Church on Wednesday, May 21st . Interment was at Calvary Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post No. 331.
