THRU THE......LIBRARY DOOR
In Memoriam

The Exeter community was deeply saddened this past week by the sudden death of Lillian Barkmeier. How can we express what her death has meant to all of us who knew her. Most of all our sympathy is extended to her sister Lea with whom she lived and to her sister Rose, to her brothers and to all her family.

Daily we saw her either at her work at the bank or going to or from work. Her kindness, concern, dependability and her faithfulness to her religion, her family and her work were the marks of her true character.

Her faith in her God showed through in her daily tasks and in her relationships with her fellowmen.

In the words of a great writer, we can say of Lillian, "O woman, lovely woman! Nature made thee to temper man; we had been brutes without you. Angels are painted fair, to look like you; there is in you all that we believe of heaven - amazing brightness, purity and truth, eternal joy, and everlasting love."

May Lillian have found in the land beyond the Crown of her faithfulness and love.
