Felix J. Dumpert Rites Held In California

Felix J. Dumpert, son of Adam and Fredericka Menke Dumpert, was born February 9, 1898, at Exeter. He passed away at a Van Nuys hospital on December 29, 1977, at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 20 days.

He grew up in the Exeter vicinity where he attended school after which he farmed for several years. Later he operated "Shorty's Super Service", an auto mechanics repair shop in Lincoln, later moving to California.

He was married to Margaret Kennedy at Lincoln on April 27, 1926. This union was blessed with three children, a daughter Mary, and two sons, James and Jerry all of California.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; his two sons and daughter; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, William of Exeter, Paul and Martin of Phoenix, Leo of San Diego; sisters. Mrs. C. C. (Edith) Geis, Margaret Hall, Alice Dumpert of Lincoln and Emma Dey of Seward; besides nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an older sister, Sophia, and two brothers-in-law, Lewis Dey and B. J. Hall.

Services were held at the Catholic church in Van Nuys of which he was a faithful member. Burial was at Van Nuys.
