Glen Leo and Jan Rena (Cutaback) Ekeler

 


CUTABACK - EKELER


Jan Rena Cudaback and Glen Leo Ekeler were united in marriage on Friday, April 15, 1988 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Exeter. Monsignor Henry H. Ingenhorst performed the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Roger and Sharon Cudaback of Exeter and Leo and Dorothy Ekeler of Exeter.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The bride wore a white floor length taffeta gown with a chapel length train. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses. Entwined within the bouquet was a rosary of her grandmother Cudaback and a hanky of her late grandmother Hughes.

Dee Cudaback, sister of the bride, served the bride as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sheri Cudaback, sister of the bride, and Kim Cofffey, friend of the couple. They wore floor length dresses of royal blue satin and carried lighter hurricane lanterns.

The groom wore a white tuxedo with tails and a white boutonniere.

Paul Erdkamp, friend of the couple, served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Ekeler, brother of the groom, and Randy Hall, friend of the couple. They wore black tuxedos with royal blue bows and cummerbunds.

Rocky Ruhl and Tim Nicholas, brothers-in law of the groom; Mike Motis, cousin of the bride, and Bob Davis, friend of the couple, served as ushers.

The flower girl was Melissa Hughes, cousin of the bride. She wore a floor length dress matching the bridesmaids and carried a basket of white rose pedals.

The ringbearer was Jason Ekeler, nephew of the groom. He wore a black tuxedo matching the groomsmen and carried a ring pillow made by the bride's mother.

Organist was Delores Bailey and soloists were Jean McKinnon and Mike Bristol, friends of the couple. Musical selections were "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do", the "Wedding Song", "A Blessing" and Always".

Candlelighters and altar boys were Rick Perkins and Nick Bristol, friends of the couple.

Gift takers were Jill Ekeler, sister-in-law of the groom, and Kelly Bristol, friend of the couple.

Program attendants were Cynthia Miller, cousin of the bride, and Jennifer Ekeler, cousin of the groom.

A reception and dance followed at the Exeter Legion Hall and was hosted by Bill and Judy Cudaback, aunt and uncle of the bride, and Sid and Bernita Hruby, ant and uncle of the groom.

Cutting the cake was Shirley Fowler, aunt of the bride, and Sally Michl, aunt of the groom. Pouring coffee was Bonnie Burns, cousin of the bride, and pouring punch was Barb Ekeler, aunt of the groom.

Serving the bridal table was Dawn Hoelscher and Cindy Manning, friends of the couple.

Honored guests were the grandparents of the bride, Clarence and Agnes Cudaback and the grandmother of the groom, Marie Harre.

After a honeymoon to Colorado, the couple will reside in Lincoln, Nebraska.
