Miss Kathleen Bauman of Fairmont, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bauman, became the bride of Richard Barkmeier of Lincoln, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barkmeier of Exeter, Saturday, December 12, 1964, at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Grafton at a 10 a.m. ceremony with Father Thomas Kadlec officiating at the double-ring ceremony. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a street length aqua blue suit with an A-line skirt. Her accessories were of matching brown. She wore a corsage of white carnations centered with sweetheart roses Miss Lois Bauman, bridesmaid, sister of the bride, wore a rusty-colored street length suit and a corsage of white carnations trimmed in red. Larry Kittinger served as best man. Larry is a friend of the bride and groom. The bride's mother wore a brown suit with black accessories. The grooms mother wore a blue dress with white accessories. The mothers wore corsages made of white carnations. The Nuptial Mass was sung by the Grafton choir. The choir sang "Ave Maria" and "On this Day, Oh Beautiful Mother," accompanied by Mrs. Mable O'Conner. A reception for the immediate family was held at Bauman's Cafe in Grafton. Following their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Barkmeier will reside in the Havelock area in Lincoln, Nebraska
