Miss Wanda Lea Barkmeier - Duane Luebbe
Repeat Vows at Newman Center in Kearney, Nebraska
In a ceremony solemnized at the Newman Chapel of Kearney State College at 7:00 P.M., September 13, 1968, Miss Wanda Lea Barkmeier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barkmeier of Exeter, became the bride of Duane A. Luebbe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Luebbe of Beaver Crossing. Father John Scott officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, appeared in short princess effect wedding gown with empire bodice and long sleeves. The high neckline was appliquéd with embroidered alencon lace and seed pearls. A detachable panel train banded with alencon lace lent back interest to the gown. Her shoulder veil of silk illusion was held by a head-piece of flower petals ornamented with crystals and alencon lace. Attending the bride was her sister, Miss Wilma Barkmeier of Fairbury. Her gown was a street length rose dress in a modified cage silhouette with stand up collar of satin and a softly pleated chiffon back panel. James Walker of Exeter served as groomsman. A wedding dinner was held at the Holiday Inn following the ceremony. The bride and groom are both attending the University of Nebraska. They are making their home at 5035 Loring Circle, Lincoln, Nebraska. Fillmore County News |
