Sister Raphael (on right) sent this picture to family in Exeter, Nebraska, from the convent in Kentucky with the following message:

She entered the religious community of the Dominican Sisters of Siena on February 10, 1936. She received the Habit on August 14, 1936 and Professed on August 15, 1937. She remained at the Motherhouse as assistant procurator until the fall of 1941and then began a series of teaching assignments.
