PETERSON - BARKMEIER

Thursday, June 14, at 4:00 p.m., Miss Lucile Peterson, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Peterson of Fairmont, became the bride of Louis Barkmeier, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Barkmeier of Exeter. The ceremony was performed at David City, Nebraska, with Rev. John Ekeler, cousin of the bridegroom, reading the marriage lines.

The bride wore a white canton crepe dress, with white accessories. Her shoulder corsage was of Talisman roses. She was attended by Miss Genevieve Gossin, who wore a yellow gown with brown accessories and a shoulder corsage of yellow tea roses. Willard McNamara served as best man.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party had dinner at the Hotel Cornhusker in Lincoln. The next morning the couple started on a wedding trip to California and Mexico.

Mrs. Barkmeier, who attended Fairmont High School and the University of Nebraska, has been a normal training teacher and principal in Grafton for the past six years. Mr. Barkmeier, who owns and operates a grocery store in Exeter, attended Exeter High School and Creighton University. They will live in the Couch residence in Exeter when they return from their trip.
