GEIGER - BARKMEIER

The marriage of Miss Helen Geiger, daughter of Peter Geiger, to Frank Barkmeier, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Barkmeier, Sr., took place Saturday morning, January 24, in St. Stephen's Church in Exeter with Fr. Antochowski reading the Nuptial Mass. The bride was attended by Miss Frances Geiger and the groom was attended by William Ekeler. The bride wore a street length dress of waltz blue crepe, made with a plunge neckline and bracelet length sleeves. The gored skirt had a tucked motif for its trim. The same trim was repeated in the bodice. She wore a hat to match and a shoulder corsage of white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid wore a street length dress of Peruvian rose crepe made with a square neckline edged in lace. The gathered skirt fell from a fitted midriff. The sleeves were short and puffed. She also wore a hat to match and and shoulder corsage of carnations and sweet peas. The groom and the best man wore teal blue suits. They wore white carnations in their lapels.

The bride is a graduate of Exeter High School with the class of 1930.

The groom is a prosperous young farmer in this community and the couple will make their home on a farm north of Exeter.
