MUELLER - BARKMEIER

A very pretty wedding was held Saturday, December 27, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, when Miss Anna Marie Barkmeier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barkmeier, became the bride of Mr. Edward T. Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller of Shickley.

The double ring ceremony preceded a Nuptial High Mass performed by the Rev. A. A. Antochowski. The Stephen's choir sang an the Mass wwith Mrs. John Menke at the organ. Mrs. Robert W. Erdkamp sang the Ava Maria at the end of the Mass.

Rev. John F. Ekeler was in the Sanctuary.

The bride wore a white satin bridal gown with lace inserts and a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink gladioli with a corsage of gardenias in the center. Her only ornament was a pearl necklace.

Mrs. Leo Ekeler was matron of honor. Miss Janet Mueller was flower girl.

The groom chose as his attendant his brother, Raymond Mueller of Geneva. Frank Joseph Ekeler was ring bearer.

The matron of honor wore a blue-barred organdy gown with matching veil, She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The flower girl wore pink satin with a wreath of blue flowers in her hair.

The bridegroom and his attendant wore blue suits, with white carnation boutonnieres. The ring bearer, dressed in a white suit, carried the rings on a blue satin and lace pillow.

A reception was held at the O.O.O.F. Hall for near relatives. The table was beautifully decorated in pink and blue and had as its centerpiece a three-tiered wedding cake with a miniature bride and groom.

A wedding dance for friends and relative was held at Burress in the evening.

The couple left for a short wedding trip to St. Louis and will reside on a farm south of Exeter.

Mrs. Mueller was a graduated from Exeter High School in 1913 and had been employed at Schafer and Son Store for the past two years. Mr. Mueller had been engaged in farming near Shickley.
