BARKMEIER - MORGAN

A very pretty wedding took place at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Wednesday morning June 9th, at 8 o'clock, when Miss Ella  Barkmeier became the bride of Mr. John Morgan. Miss Lena Barkmeier, the bride's sister, and Mr. John Sullivan, the bridegroom's cousin, were the attendants. Rev. E. Boll performed the ceremony.

The bride looked charming in a salmon color georgette dress, trimmed in flowers. She wore a white picture hat. The bride's maid wore an ashes of roses color silk crepe dress trimmed in flowers and a small white hat. Their bouquets were roses and daisies.

Immediately after the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents to immediate relatives.

Mrs. Morgan is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Barkmeier, living two miles east of Exeter. She attended St. Stephens parochial school and graduated with the class of 1922 from Exeter High School. Since graduating, she has been a very successful teacher in rural schools. Mr. Morgan is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Morgan, living six miles north of Exeter. He has been a very successful farmer. They have a large circle of acquaintances who congratulate them.

After breakfast, they left for a trip to Kearney. On their return, they will begin housekeeping on the Olen Gillan farm north of Exeter.
